This unique marble gives the pen both exceptional style and sophistication. The pen’s body is oversized, the nib, the heart of the pen, is in 18 KT gold, and is available in EF-F-M-B-S. The filling system is our Power Filler.


Lorenzo de Medici was an Italian Statesman and a 15th century Ruler of the Florentine Republic. Considered one of the most powerful and enthusiastic patrons of the Renaissance age, he was commonly known as Lorenzo "il Magnifico" (the Magnificent) by his contemporary Florentines as he was an influential businessman, diplomat, politician and a patron of scholars.


This new collection celebrates Lorenzo de' Medici's great passion for art and Florentine tradition. The pen's body is made of fine Egyptian ‘amber’ marble. The marble is known for its delicate streaks that range from amber to sepia hues giving the pen its' delicate and elegant appearance. The marble body is octagonal shaped and inspired by the Baptistery of Florence, formed using specific, high-precision machinery.


Lilies, the symbol of the city of Florence, are meticulously engraved on the pens aged bronze cap. The iconic Ponte Vecchio clip is plated in yellow gold and embellished with ivory enamel contrasting perfectly. The top of the cap is enriched with the ancient coat of arms of the Medici family.


The fountain pen features Visconti's in-house 18kt yellow gold nib, available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub widths.

The il Magnifico Egyptian Marble is available as a fountain pen and rollerball. The fountain pen features Visconti's famous power filling system and hook safe lock and is presented in a custom Il Magnifico limited edition box to match the pen. The collection is limited to 188 pieces worldwide.


The pen is made from fine Egyptian marble, aged bronze and brass, elements that gracefully come together as the result of extensive research by our craftsmen. The barrel, in marble, is complemented by a finely engraved blind cap, while the section, in bronze, holds the 18-KT gold nib. This yellow-gold color is reproduced on both the rings and the clip, which give the design its overall harmony. The cap is made of worked and aged bronze, the result of sophisticated technique and craftsmanship.
