The Visconti ‘Sunflowers’ collection is made from natural resin, brought to life by vibrant yellow hues expressing a special significance for Van Gogh: ‘gratitude’. The meticulous selection of resins and their color mix is one of the major innovations introduced by Visconti and makes each and every Visconti Van Gogh pen unique. The colors are further enhanced by the unique 18 faceted design of the Van Gogh Collection.


Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers'
Just like other painters working at the time, Van Gogh created floral themed still-life paintings, but he did things a little differently, experimented with color. After practicing with different flowers, he chose a specific variety: the sunflower. Thinking that these flowers were somewhat coarse and unrefined, Van Gogh gave sunflowers the lead role in several paintings.


Van Gogh knew that his sunflower paintings were special, as did other people. After he died, friends brought sunflowers with them to his funeral. Sunflowers became synonymous with Van Gogh, just as he had hoped.

Fountain Pen

Each fountain pen nib is made from steel and engraved with Van Gogh's signature. Available in Fine, Medium and Broad widths.



A converter is included with each pen, and the fountain pen is presented in a gift box with a bookmark and a bottle of Visconti 'sunny yellow' ink to match the pen.
A reproduction of the painting is printed on top of the box and a special edition bookmark included with each pen.

    Visconti pens are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects. Manufacturer’s defects do not include damage resulting from everyday use, products that have been dropped or damaged from improper use, alterations caused by direct exposure to sunrays, high temperatures, and unauthorized repairs or manipulations. Guarantees will only be valid if you present a receipt of purchase from a Visconti authorized dealer along with your repair (Amazon, E-bay, are not authorized dealers). ​ If the pen qualifies for service under the manufacturer’s warranty and proof of purchase is included, there will be no additional charge other than the shipping charges. If proof of purchase does not accompany the repair, there will be a standard $35 fee plus shipping. If it is a more complicated repair, which will be determined by a Coles of London representative, they will contact you once the pen is received to advise you of these charges. You are required to enter your credit card information on the repair case online, but your card will not be charged until we receive the pen and assess the damages. ​ Nibs may only be exchanged within 30 days of purchase if the nib is not damaged, charging you only the standard fee of $35 to cover shipping and handling.
